The Second crop success of SRV bulls is also worth noting again. De-Ka-Acres SANDEL (Sand x Blackstar) and Imperial Mandel MANAT (Mandel x Bell Rex) added 510 and 1535 new German daughters respectively and remained both relatively unchanged. Sandel and Manat are ranked Nr.4 and Nr.5 on the German Top High reliable sire list in August!

 August news on SRV bulls

- DELIGHT (Decision x EX-94 Show-winner 'Bellwood  Miracle' x EX-91 Mascot; 7 Gen. EX dams): This exciting German Top sire from the popular 'Rolls' cow family made his way irresistible into the German Top 5 at 143 RZG. Based on a very strong daughter performance in 2'nd lactation Delight gained 3 points for production (+222 milk-kg) and 2 points again for somatic cell score which gives him finally a positive RZS of 101 ! Above that he improved significantly in daughter fertility and paternal calving ease and belongs with 132 RZN to the best German bulls for longevity. His 2'nd lactation daughter group at the German National Show in Oldenburg underlined Delights superior type transmission, siring black, deep, silky dairy machines with great feet and legs and good udders. The uniform angular Delight daughters remind you of the great show-winning dam 'Miracle' and continue this tradition of excellence. Formely used as Super Sampler Delight's proof is already high reliable and based on 212 daughters for production and 149 daughters for type. Now at 1587 TPI !

- ALVES (Amel x CVM Mica x Oscar Lucinda): This popular Amel son from the well-known Walkup Astronaut Lou Ann family climbed 4 places to Germany's Nr. 7 position for Total Merit at 142 RZG by increasing 3 points for production (+148 milk-kg) and 2 points each for overall type (132 RZE) and longevity (120 RZN). The extremely uniform, hard working daughters setting again a record for absolute milk production in Germany by exceeding 10.000 kg on daughter average in second lactation. Alves carries on the tradition of great production from his maternal family and his granddam, the former World production record cow 'Muranda Oscar Lucinda' . Alves daughters are medium sized cows with enough dairy strength, perfect rumps and super udders and have definitely the ability to last under any type of housing systems. This valuable combination of high production, consistent functional type, highest longevity and easy calving make him an extremely popular choice for any breeder in the world. Alves is a sire of sons in many countries and ranks with 1784 TPI among the Top 10 bulls world wide on US base.

- LUCIFER (Lucky Leo x EX Jabot x Blackstar):  Originating from the well-respected 'Pietje family' in the Netherlands Lucifer increased again 3 points each for production (+222 milk-kg) and Total Merit while remaining easily in Germany's Number 9 position for Total Merit Index at 141 RZG. With now +900 milk-kg and +0,22 % for protein percentage he is truly Germany's breed leader for protein transmission. The Lucifer daughters are tall, open ribbed, powerful cows with perfect rumps and very good feet & legs (overall type RZE 129 !). They excel in low cell count (RZS 118) and daughter longevity (RZN 122). Lucifer was successfully cosampled in Germany and the Czech Republic and is presently at 1633 TPI on US base.

- HANNO (Hondo Aero x EX Juror x Melwood): The popular Hondo Aero son originates from the old German W- family which started in 1922 at the farm of Mr. Gerd Bielefeld's grandfather. Although Hanno lost 222 kg in milk this time he is now at +0.31 % for fat percentage and remained relatively unchanged for fat- kg, overall type and udder health. Hanno definitely stamps his daughter with powerful frontends, strength and openness of ribs. His daughter have wide rumps with a perfect slope, a steep foot angle and high and wide rear udders. While the majority of his daughters have just started their second lactation Hanno could be expected to gain some milk back in his proof next time. Despite the production figures Hanno is a perfect bull to improve body traits, rump structure, foot angle and deviations. 

- WINDFANG (Winchester x Design x Lindy): The biggest jump in August was made by Windfang whose more then 160 extremely well milking daughters helped to propel him up to Germany's No. 24 position for Total Merit RZG. Backed by a deep Canadian cow family at Heather Holme Holsteins in Ontario Windfang gained no less then 6 points for production (+ 357 kg milk-kg) and 7 points for Total merit index. Windfang combines high milk & protein yield, an interesting pedigree (Winchester x Design x Lindy x Starbuck x Warden) with stature, dairyness, slopy rumps and extreme shallow udders (udder composite 121). The superior proofs for Somatic cell count, daughter fertility, productive life and calving ease making him an interesting All-round package (TPI: 1590).

- TUNIS (Tugolo x Rudolph x Diapason): The May Newcomer Tunis remained relatively unchanged in all of his figures in August. While originating from a high profile cow family in France (popular EX- 98 "Uneco" cow is fifth dam) he combines high production with good overall type. Tunis sires tall, angular daughters with good udders and superior feet and legs. He is truly one of Germany's breed leaders to improve feet and leg quality. Tunis is also extreme positive for all major functional traits like udder health, overall fertility and productive life (TPI: 1701).

Selection of interesting new SRV Holstein bulls:

- Enaro *TV (Encore x EX-93 Chesepeake x EX-94 Vanguard x EX-96 Marquis King): Promising start for this former SRV Super sampler who traces back to the popular August family at Clover-Mist farms in the USA. With +1331 milk-kg Enaro exceeds most expectations for production while transmitting excellent overall type. The Enaro daughters are stylish with powerful front ends and lots of stature. The rumps are extremely wide. Enaro is surely a body trait bull. The shallow udders are his best part, long in the fore udder with high and wide rear attachment, a strong cleft and perfect teat placement. This unique pedigreed bull can be used on any cow with lower cell count lacking strength and width of body which could use some improvement in udder quality, especially udder depth and fore udder. The bull is also positive for milking speed and overall fertility. Enaro has the potential to transmit that show-winner style (+2,00 PTAT).

- Denim *TV (Dello x EX-95 Integrity x EX-91 Prelude): This Dello son makes a strong debut combining two of the best cow families in the breed, the 'Roxys'and the 'Dellias'. His dam is no other then Brigeen Integrity Robin, EX-95 who is considered to be one of the best Integrity daughters world wide. Half sisters of the bull are topping the sales in Germany and the USA. Denim sires tall, angular, deep bodied dairy cows with enough strength and wider rumps. The udders are particularly well attached in the rear with a good central ligament and closer teat placement.

- Ayala *TV (Aaron x Fatal x Fantasy Bellwood Zisky): A very exciting new Aaron son backed by the Regancrest Dellia family. From the Italian brunch of the 'Dellias' this bull goes back to the popular Blackstar Frisky cow, EX-91, a fullsister to Snow-N Darlene-ET, EX-94 and daughter of Dellia, EX-95. Ayala is a high type bull with moderate production figures. He transmits tall, stylish, open ribbed cows, good feet and legs and high and wide udders with an exceptional central ligament. The full sister of Ayalas dam, Overside Fatal Dellia-ET is classified EX-93 in the UK and dam of the high PLI cow 'Overside Convincer Delight VG 89'. Ayalas Grand dam Zisky is also dam of SRV's Mtoto son 'Mantai', who is highly proven in Germany at 131 RZG.

- Decent *TV  (Decision x EX Rudolph x EX-96 Ugela Bell):  The biggest jump into the top 20 in Germany was made by the Decision son Decent, who is now placed at number 17 according to the German Total Merit Index. His maternal Grand dam "Fiere" was recently classified EX-96 after winning the Champion aged cow title of this years German National Show at 15 years of age. His EX Rudolph dam Fabine is the full sister of SRV's popular type bull Rubin. Decent transmits highest milk & protein yield along with good udder health, very good fertility and high productive life (RZN 117). He is considered to be a calving ease sire.
