The latest sire summaries released around the world have delivered unprecedented success for Alta customers. With exciting news from sampling initiatives taken in the US, the Netherlands and in Canada, there has never been a better time to partner with Alta for genetic program strength.
US “Triple Crown” Top ranked sires are the back-bone of Alta’s industry leading programs; ConceptPlus, HealthPlus and CheeseMaker. No other stud can deliver such diversity. In the US Canyon-Breeze ALLEGRO (Kilo x Bellwood), Canyon-Breeze AXIOM*cv (Convincer x Emory) and Paradise-DND SUEDE (Aaron x Manfred) are prime top-ranked examples. Each of these three “Triple-Crown” sires combines the Production, Type and Longevity to be included among Alta’s potential sire of son list – no small feat! Each achieves the distinction in a different way, but all are elite in their own right gaining on average +61 NM$ and +81 TPI points since February Now ranked at #4 on the official TPI™ list, Allegro is the prototype for CheeseMaker, delivering 133lbs of Combined Fat & Protein (CFP) with positive components, strong frames and impressive Productive Life (PL). With daughters now in second lactation, Allegro is not only well proven (122 daughters in 81 herds), his gains are made almost entirely on daughters improving with age. Developed from the same ultra popular family, Axiom is designated a CheeseMaker and a HealthPlus sire, and is essentially a rare triple +2.00 sire for Type, UDC and F&L. With the ConceptPlus and HealthPlus distinctions to his credit Suede is an industry leader for Feet and Legs and is exceedingly well balanced across the board. These three sires anchor an unbeatable lineup of Alta stars.
Lemmer doubles as the highest rated Udder bull in the Netherlands too. Meanwhile Frankenhof ACCOORD (Aaron x Esquimau) is the highest rated Feet and Leg sire. Furthermore, QG COSMONAUT (Jocko x Rudolph) is an exciting new Jocko Besne son that producers will be eager to use. Together these and other Dutch graduates offer producers outstanding opportunities to diversify their bloodlines. |

Alta – Home of Aaron and his Sons
It is already more than a decade ago that Norrielake Cleitus Luke and his stable-mates (Bellwood, Formation, Wade, Mandel, Jed) helped signal Alta’s rise to prominence as a leading genetic supplier. Each sire has enjoyed success through major sons with Luke giving rise to Aaron and Hershel. The story on Hershel sons is yet to be written, but it is not too soon to say that Aaron has completed his quest for Holstein immortality. Few sires deliver with such consistency. With sons like Suede, Patton, Drew, Lemmer, Edition and Accoord as his legacy, Aaron’s place in Holstein history is assured. It’s a source of pride for all Alta People.
Accuracy sets Alta Apart
Many studs talk about accuracy, but in truth, Alta stands alone on this point. It’s not just about the number of daughters in a proof, but about how bulls are sourced and where they are tested. New emerging stars like YANKEE (Lantz x Manfred), PATTON (Aaron x Bellwood) and DREW (Aaron x Commotion) each on just their second summary have already attained extraordinary progeny numbers, averaging over 150 production daughters. In Canada, Mediate, Shady and Desire debut with an average of 84 daughters while the two new Dutch graduates average 87. No one samples bulls with greater precision than Alta.
Still, the true test of proof accuracy is delivered via second crop daughters. On that front Alta’s record is unmatched. Most recently, daughters of ADAM, TOMAHAWK, BOSS and THRONE underscore this point. All four are further proof of true accuracy. All four are HealthPlus sires and each has been used as a sire of sons at Alta. From Germany, RAMOS is also adding many daughters and his story is equally impressive. But the good news doesn’t end there. BLASTOFF, MAXIE, LAURIER, FORREST and DUNCAN are each adding second crop daughters and their proofs continue to be stable.
